Consult the User's Guide for information on using wiki software. This page is not very easy to use, but it is quite comprehensive.
Media Wiki editing examples is an excellent tutorial for editing wiki pages, probably the best place to start. This page is easy to understand and will be of great help in creating and formatting wiki content. I use this page often to find out how to do something in the wiki. Use it alot!!
The Wikipedia site How to edit a page is another excellent place to find editting tips and information. I have not explored it much, but have at it.
You might want to look through these links to help you customize your preferences and to learn how to do some simple formatting in wiki. At first, we should just get used to the wiki and how it works and what it can do. The following links might be helpful.
The Advanced editing for Special Characters page will be helpful when you want to get fancy. Lots of Greek, German, and other characters.
You will probably have to write math equations in the wiki. The MediaWiki Help:Displaying a formula is a good place to start. It has lots and lots of formatting for various math symbols.
